Harvests and Other Events

Before signing up for an event, please be sure that you and each person signing up has registered previously on the Volunteers page. If you have already registered as a volunteer you do not have to do so again. Each adult must sign up separately for events. To sign up for an event, click on the 'Sign up for this event' button. Once you sign up, you will receive a confirmation letter with the exact address and detailed information about the event. If the roster is full, your name will be added to a waiting list and you will receive an email if anyone ahead of you cancels their spot.

Move the mouse over harvests on the calendar to see details and a sign up link below the calendar. Green harvests have roster openings left; yellow harvests have a waiting list.

Are you interested in being a Harvest Leader? Come learn how to do it with us! This is a hands-on training: From start to finish, we're going to go through the motions of a glean together, so you can see what it takes to be a Harvest Leader for the Gleaning Project! We'll start at our Wright Park Office at 4pm (https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1tiOnuf4MCoYhTvv2Ptwq5w4DVlc&ll=47.258490590740166%2C-122.44927614927292&z=17). We will go over how to manage the volunteer list for your glean in our gleaning database. Then, we'll ride together to the Hilltop House Orchard (only 5 minutes away). We will pretend to pick a tree (there's no fruit yet, only flowers!), then 'load' up what we picked and bring it to St. Leo's Food Bank (also 5 minutes away). We'll bring the vehicle back to Wright Park, and enter in the information from our glean into our database. After that, we'll be available to answer any questions, and can give you paperwork to fill out if you are interes
Getting there: You may join the carpool, meeting in , or drive to the harvest yourself.

New feature: While you are waiting for new harvests to be posted, sign up for a new feature called My Page which will show all of your current signups and let you view harvest details and your complete harvest history. You will also be able to get on waiting lists without waiting for an email. To use this feature, you must first give yourself a password. Go to the Volunteer Update page to be sent a link where you can set the password and update your contact information.
